Adopting the Flutter Framework

What does it really mean for existing and future Emperortech Ltd branded apps ? 🤔

It means a lot. And here's why:

Emperortech Limited is a relatively small company. Adopting the Flutter framework for application development will open up vast possibilities for the modernization of our creative multimedia as well as business and productivity applications. This in turn will lead to apps being built from scratch with far more features than are currently being offered.

Being able to implement a framework that is modern, ever evolving, and capable of compiling to native on various platforms saves a great deal of development time for each platform. It also resolves the issue of feature parity. Time is money. Being able to drastically reduce development life cycles will automatically translate into cutting down development costs. For a relatively small company ? This is a huge bonus. 

Being open source in nature means that it is freely available to use both for personal and commercial purposes. This also goes into the cost savings too. 

All these bonuses ultimately translate into more focus on creativity and developing unique applications on all platforms.

With all this being stated, you're probably wondering what this means for our currently published applications and those that have been recently announced to be in development ?

MEGA MIXABLE LIVE & METAL MIXABLE LIVE

M2L-R and M2LE are being migrated over to Flutter

After much deliberation Emperortech Limited has decided that both Metal Mixable Live: REVOLUTION and Mega Mixable Live: EVOLUTION will be migrated over to and developed with the Flutter framework. 

However the original Mega Mixable Live and Mega Mixable Live: DELUXE will maintain their existing code bases, and will continue to receive updates and support for the foreseeable future. 

Some of you might recall that on 31 May 2022, Mega Mixable Live: EVOLUTION was officially announced on the official Mega Mixable Live blog as an iOS exclusive to be built upon SWIFT technologies. Since that announcement, many changes have been made which consequently led to the decision to use the Flutter framework.

The main driver behind this decision was the fact that building M2LE with Swift technologies would automatically leave Android users out in the cold. 

And while the iOS app store has been at the forefront of our userbase & app downloads, Android has been picking up a lot of steam lately.

Unless otherwise stated, all future titles under the Mega Mixable Live & Metal Mixable Live Intellectual properties will be built upon the Flutter framework.

QR.EASY, QR.EASY Pro, and QR.EASY ?

QR.EASY, QR.ESY Pro, and QR.EASY ?

After much deliberation Emperortech Limited has decided that both QR.EASY and QR.EASY Pro will maintain their existing code bases, and will continue to receive updates and support for the foreseeable future. 

However there is an upcoming app under the QR.EASY intellectual property umbrella that has yet to be officially announced, but is being developed from the ground up using the Flutter framework. 

This is partly why there has been a delay with regards to the history feature 🕐

Unless otherwise stated, all future apps under the QR.EASY intellectual property umbrella will be built upon the Flutter framework.
